Okanagan
Three lakes and a friendly, four season city.
The Area
At the north end of the Okanagan, Vernon is surrounded by three lakes and known for its affordability, recreation and strong sense of community.
Kalamalka Lake, famous for its turquoise colour, along with Okanagan and Swan Lakes, gives Vernon an exceptional amount of shoreline and beach access, while Silver Star Mountain offers skiing and mountain biking a short drive from town.
Established neighbourhoods near the historic downtown sit alongside newer hillside communities in areas like The Foothills and Predator Ridge, a destination golf and resort community to the south.
Vernon tends to offer more home for the money than the central and southern Okanagan, drawing families, retirees and remote workers seeking lake country living at a gentler price.
