Rutland

Rutland was its own municipality until amalgamating with Kelowna in the early 1970s, and it still carries a distinct identity built around Rutland Centennial Park and a compact commercial centre on Highway 33. Home to a large and long-established Punjabi-Canadian community, Rutland offers some of Kelowna's more attainable housing, from older bungalows to a growing wave of townhomes and low-rise apartments along the main corridors.

Getting around

Highway 33 and Highway 97 connect Rutland to downtown Kelowna and the airport, with regular bus service along both corridors.

Schools & family

Rutland Senior Secondary and several elementary schools serve the community's large family population.

Shopping & lifestyle

Rutland's own commercial strip covers groceries and everyday needs, with Orchard Park Mall a short drive away.
