Sea to Sky & Sunshine Coast
A world class ski resort municipality and 2010 Olympic host.
The Area
Whistler is one of North America's largest and most decorated ski resorts, a purpose-built mountain resort municipality that hosted the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic alpine and sliding events.
Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, linked by the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, offer one of the largest lift-served ski areas on the continent, and Whistler Village's pedestrian core of hotels, restaurants and shops has become a year round destination well beyond ski season.
Summer brings mountain biking on the Whistler Bike Park's lift-served trails, golf on several championship courses and hiking and paddling around the valley's chain of lakes, and Lost Lake's trail network gives residents an easy escape from the busier village core.
Real estate here spans ski-in condos and chalets to larger estate homes, with resort and short term rental zoning shaping much of the market, and Whistler's global name recognition keeps demand strong from both Canadian buyers and an international second home audience.
