Chase River / Cinnabar

Chase River carries Nanaimo's coal mining history in its street names and older housing stock, a working class south end neighbourhood that has stayed one of the city's more affordable places to buy. The Cinnabar Valley area nearby keeps a similar character, with smaller lots and a mix of older and newer homes.

Getting around

Cedar Road and the Trans-Canada Highway connect Chase River to downtown Nanaimo, a few minutes north, and onward to Cedar and points south.
