Downtown Penticton / Main Street

Downtown Penticton centres on Main Street, a walkable grid of early twentieth century storefronts now filled with restaurants, breweries and independent shops, roughly midway between the Okanagan Lake channel and Skaha Lake. The Penticton Art Gallery and museum anchor the cultural scene, and condos and character homes within a few blocks of Main Street put the whole downtown, and both lakes, within easy walking distance.

Getting around

Highway 97 passes just west of downtown, and Main Street itself is fully walkable, with local transit connecting to the rest of Penticton.

Downtown families are served by Penticton's public elementary and secondary schools nearby, along with Okanagan College's Penticton campus.
