Whalley / City Centre

Whalley has rebranded itself as Surrey City Centre, and the transformation is hard to miss. Simon Fraser University's Surrey campus anchors Central City alongside Surrey's City Hall and civic plaza, a fast-growing skyline of residential towers and one of the busiest SkyTrain stations outside Vancouver. What was once an overlooked stretch of King George Boulevard is now the civic and cultural heart of a city on track to become BC's largest.

Getting around

Surrey Central Station puts the Expo Line, King George Station and dozens of bus routes within a short walk, and Highway 1 and King George Boulevard carry drivers across the region.

Schools & family

SFU Surrey and Kwantlen Polytechnic University both have a presence downtown, alongside public elementary and secondary schools serving the growing residential population.

Shopping & lifestyle

Central City Shopping Centre and Surrey's civic plaza cover daily needs, with Guildford Town Centre a short SkyTrain ride away.
