North York Centre

North York Centre has grown into a genuine second downtown along the Yonge Street subway corridor, its skyline of condo towers anchored by Mel Lastman Square, the Toronto Centre for the Arts and a dense cluster of shops and restaurants. It offers many of downtown's conveniences at a relative discount, without leaving the subway line.

Getting around

The Yonge-University subway line runs directly through North York Centre, with North York Centre and Sheppard-Yonge stations both within the district.

Established public schools serve North York's family population, alongside a fast growing number of condo residents in the core itself.
