East Beach / Waterfront

East Beach is the postcard image of White Rock, a sunny stretch of sand facing Semiahmoo Bay and home to the city's namesake boulder and its pier, stretching roughly 470 metres and among the longest on Canada's west coast. The waterfront promenade fills with walkers, cyclists and restaurant patrons through the warmer months, and homes here range from older beach cottages to newer view condos on the hillside just above.

Getting around

The White Rock train station sees Amtrak Cascades service along the waterfront, while Marine Drive and King George Boulevard connect the area to the rest of the city and Highway 99.

Schools & family

White Rock Elementary serves the waterfront area, with secondary students attending nearby South Surrey schools.

Shopping & lifestyle

The promenade's restaurants and shops cover dining and casual retail, with fuller grocery shopping uptown a short walk or drive away.
